Geoff Westen’s 3rd Power Pop Rock Album, I’m Not Crazy To Be Released April 7, 2015 On Disturbing Music

LOS ANGELES CA, February 2015 – The latest collection from hard-popster Geoff Westen is I’m Not Crazy. Westen’s characteristic quirky and eclectic storytelling is showcased in his third album of songs on the Disturbing Music label, and is scheduled for release on April 7, 2015.

On INC, Geoff continues to follow his own musical muse, fearlessly traversing the line between PowerPop and PowerPunk. The songs are drawn from observations made over the course of an eccentric, yet sophisticated life of the career artist and performer. Both reviewers and fans alike have responded to Westen’s instinctive feel, traditional songwriting chops, catchy melodies and memorable hooks.

The common denominator on all the tracks is his integration of the gamut of music styles that he has performed over his career. This includes his curious production approach, where he paints his audio canvas with layers of music to create his “Wall of Pop” trademark sound revealing more colors, textures and flavors with each repeated listening. Making himself the central character in the songs rather than telling stories about other people is another distinct component of his songwriting.

Rhea Francani bursts onto the music scene with the release of her first single “Dizzy” on January 20, 2015. The single, from the debut EP “I Want You To Know” due out in February 2015, is accompanied by a high-energy music video capturing the escapades of a girls’ night out. An interactive campaign coincides with the releases on Instagram inviting fans to share their favorite things about #DizzyNightOut.

Francani readily admits she’s not your typical country music artist as she was raised in Western NY and now lives in New York City. “I am drawn to the southern charm of country music’s heartfelt lyrics – songs about love, life and good times,” she explains. “I wanted to create an authentic country album drawing on the talents of the Nashville music industry, and those seasoned professionals that could bring my music to life.”

The finessed singer/songwriter/performer co-produced the four self-penned tracks at Omni Sound Studios in Nashville with Omni’s own Mike Walter, utilizing some of the industry’s top studio musicians. LA/Nashville-based music videographer, Jeff Johnson, shot the high-energy music video for “Dizzy” on the streets of Music City’s Lower Broad and its honky tonks and Karaoke bars. “I’m following my heart’s highway from NY to Nashville. My fans know me as a city girl with a country heart. I’m thriving in two completely different worlds!”

Rhea has performed various styles of music on numerous stages of theatre. She is an honors graduate of Wagner College, NYC in Musical Theatre Performance. She resides in New York City and is a soon-to-be alumna of Teachers College, Columbia University, NYC with a Master’s Degree in Music and Music Education. Nashville, TN – May 22, 2014 – 828 Records recording artist Jimmy White has just released his fifth CD, “My Mom Joined The Circus”.

White shows an amazingly broad spectrum of musical tastes on this new 11 track CD: The tropical feel of “Michaela” and the Country flavored, “Two Beers Better” feel more commercial, while “Miserable Man” and “No Goodbyes” are very personal to the artist. On this CD, White also took a comedic look at life with the title track, “My Mom Joined The Circus” and “Daddy Looked Good”

When asked about the eye catching title track, White offered, “There isn’t a story behind the title; it was a song that just came to me, as if from another place. It took on a life of its own and ended up being a song about a young man who ends up becoming inspired by his mother, a woman who began her life again, just when she seemed a little too old to do so.”

When asked to describe the feeling of his new CD, White said, “This CD is softer than my previous albums, very melodic, containing songs that are pure pop, others that are the most inspirational of my career, and others that are just plain funny, which is a big part of who I am as a person. “

“Circus is a culmination, of sorts, of the phase of my career where I had finally achieved the commercial and artistic success that I had always longed for, with “Two Cities” and “Good Friends Are Hard To Find”. “Crazy Heart” by Matthew Schultz ft. Alessia Guarnera starts off with a really relaxing sounding acoustic guitar, and Alessia Guarnera’s voice which is stunning. With a voice like that, it is no wonder that she has been labeled the ‘Janis Joplin of her time’. She effortlessly reaches high as well as low notes, and she is complimented by the deeper male voice in the verses. Matthew Schultz takes this song to a whole new level with his rhythmic singing, making this song outstanding. I am also very impressed with the quality of this song; it is right up there with the worlds top artists, such as Rihanna. The acoustic guitar in the background is well played, and the song really makes you feel what the artist’s want you to feel. The lyrics are also really well written, I love the line “the way you spin me round and round works like the weather”. The song is full of catchy lines and I can see this being played on the radio as well as TV and Internet. All in all I would definitely recommend this song to anyone out there who is looking for a relaxing tune that could well be the soundtrack of this year’s Summer.

Pop Rock Group The Remony Will Take Act National This Year

The Remony is a pop-rock band based in Northern Indiana. The group, who only came together the summer of 2012, has released 5 singles with plans to release two more by this summer. Having refined their sound the group has announced ambitions to become a national touring act within the next year.



Dateline: Los Angeles, California, April 20, 2013 – Based out of Northern Indiana, the pop-rock group The Remony has released 5 singles since their debut the summer of 2012 with plans to release 2 more before this summer. The group has announced that they plan to take their act national sometime over the next year.



The Remony is comprised of five members–four guys, and one gal. The band boasts dual lead vocals and the ability to harness the assertiveness of rock while maintaining a Top 40 sound. The Remony offers a unique and distinct voice amidst today’s crowded music scene.



A group spokesman said, “We really feel like the progress we have been able to make in a little more than a half a year is profound.” The spokesman said that their greatest inspiration comes when they stay in tune with the pulse of their generation, and the world around them. The group believes that music will be the voice that brings their generation together to impact the world in a larger way. He said, “We hope that our music can be part of a greater movement.”



The spokesman added, “The biggest influence to their music is their generation’s desire to address many political and social issues. All of the songs on the EP, ‘A Lot to Learn’ are about the different struggles that the current generation faces including about how hard it is to separate ourselves from situations that hurt us. This is clearly an epidemic within our generation that I am sure many people will be able to relate too.”



Given that ambition, the group hopes to be established as a national act over the course of this year. The spokesman said, “We believe our upcoming singles will aid greatly in building the groups momentum.”



The Remony describe themselves as a group of energetic, fun, witty, and down to earth people. They say they take their music seriously, but don’t always take themselves too seriously, as they like to have spontaneous mischievous and merrymaking moments to help relieve some of the stress of their long gruelling practices.



The dual male and female vocals sets the group apart, and provides a versatile musical platform for long-term development and growth. The Remony are sometimes compared to the contemporary group Paramore; but great dual sex vocal bands of the past have included Jefferson Airplane, Fleetwood Mac, and more recently Evanescence, which gives an indication of their potential.

MusicDishTV Presents Robert Nix’s “Walk Down The Street”

Robert Nix’s video for “Walk Down the Street” is one that’s difficult to explain, but incredibly pleasing to watch. He is a post-contemporary composer, but his music is so much more. The video follows Nix as he records the various instruments in the song, creating a fully experimental and pop-rock fusion track. He throws in some cut scenes of himself walking aimlessly through his home-city of Toronto to represent the theme of his song; being lost. The cinematography supports the theme as well, as the dissonance of the shaky camera certainly makes the viewer feel a little lost. The compassion in his voice and power in his presence in the video allows the video to almost attain a sense of spirituality.

All in all, this is a fantastic video from top to bottom. Robert Nix is a mastermind and he displays a true love for his craft. Teaming up with filmmaker Rohit “Badmash” Thakur was a terrific decision and “Badmash” certainly fulfilled his responsibilities.
